Would you ever vote for a female president? I've discussed this several times with my friends and we can never agree. I know this will lead to intense discussions, so please all keep it civil :-)
My answer is no, I simply wouldn't trust that a woman would be able to make a very hard choise under pressure. That dosen't mean that I don't think a woman could be a good leader, woman are just softer than men, and that's all good, but not as president for a country. That's just my opinion :-)

Is it honestly possible to believe this foolishness? Does androgyny mean nothing to you? Women and men do not think very differently at all. Any differences you notice are created by society and the power of suggestion. There are plenty of females who are NOT soft and who DO work well under pressure. Similarly, there are men who fit the opposite of that as well. Do not stereotype and clump every individual into a rubric. It is disgusting and insulting, to say the least. If you want to debate about a candidate's qualifications, then great. On the other hand, don't try to discredit someone based upon such a worthless concept as gender.

I just don't think the country would be respected in the same way if we had a woman leading us. There are still toom any countries where women are treated as second class citizens. I don't think because she had President in front of her name, that would make a difference there. I'm not sure they would even recognize her powers.

I think you are wrong on this point. We have a few examples in history. Look at joann of Arc. Was she not a bold lady who bravely stood and fought the enimies of her country.
In modern times who could be a bolder prime minister than Indira Gandhi of India? How about Sirimavo Bandaranayake of Sree Lanka? Didn't you hear about Golda Meyr of Israel?
How can we conclude that women are not fit to be the ruler of a country? I think they are equelly good as men.
