How many out there still have a VCR in their home? I got rid of mine several years ago and don't own any tapes, not it's all DVD (soon BluRay), so why would anyone still have a VCR? Just wondering how many still does? :-)

Yes, I still own a VCR. I also own a DVD player. I use the VCR to record programs, because I don't have the DVR to do that with a DVD. A lot of people only have a VCR because they cannot afford to buy a DVD player. They might have had a VCR that lasted ages, and see no reason to change. But I watch DVDs for movies, but record on my VCR with my VHS tapes.

I still have VCR's in all of my bedrooms and the living room. We had such an extensive selection of movies before DVD's became affordable that I refuse to get rid of them. If I find something in DVD, I am trying to replace, but like some of the Disney Movies that you can't hardly find, and when you do, they're astronomical in price...I'm not getting rid of those.
