Do you judge people buy their looks prior to knowing them?

I try not to judge people buy their appearance. The way they dress or wear their hair. I have been so wrong with first impressions. I found that when I wore my hair long some people would not confront me as easily as my other clean cut friends.
Where I noticed it the most was at work. In my line of work I have appointments with customers. I have an assistant with me who is much younger than I and clean cut. It is clearly noticeable that I have the knowledge and answers to their concerns but more times than none they tend to avoid me and converse with my assistant who ends up turning to me for the answers. Now I'm clean cut and have noticed a change in behavior with customers.

No I don't really judge a person by their looks, but i try to know how they are & what they are by their actions, but i can go very wrong when i try to judge people by their actions!!! When i finally get to talk to a person i still try to know how they are what they feel about me in turn. I am always open & put my feelings out without hesitation sometimes lol.
Btw whats clean cut? is it like being open minded?

Poltergeist34; Clean cut in my definition is some one who is well groomed, usually referred to the male gender IE: short hair, clean shaved. you have the right attitude we should leave judging up to the courts.
P.S. thanks for the comment.

No, because if that were the case no one would talk to me since I wear a lot of black and I am usually shy and keep to myself.

I don't judge people by the way they look, but I like clean, grooming look...I don't care about fashion...
I want to know people and be able to talk to them...before I can judge anyone....
I like people with honest smile on happy face...:)))

No, I don't judge people based on looks. Although I would think many people do, I dont because I don't want people to look at me and judge me. So its only fair. Plus I might be the minority but I think most people are nice anad it's really not nice to judge them :)

I don't judge people by their looks that much, although sometimes some people do make it impossible to go around it I must say. In example some people which where second hand clothing even including rips and such, then let their hair grow and don't shave themselves and go sitting on the streets in the city.... you can't really tell 'em apart from a homeless person so you pretty much look at them as a homeless person.
