I mentioned to someone last night that I had been emailing everyone I had ever known/sent or received and email to/from, posting posters on forums etc for the little girl in my avatar. He said it was 'spamming' I said.. well ok, but it's spamming for a good cause right? NO! he says, It's just spamming!
Well whaddya think? Is it spamming?

Spam is spam is spam. It doesn't matter what it's for. A good cause is no excuse. If you're sending any kind of solicitation to people who didn't ask for it, and most of whom probably don't want it, it's spam. If you're doing it on forums, you'll probably have your accounts deleted from some of them, and you'll deserve it. Sorry, but there's so much spam to deal with already that most people aren't going to be sympathetic to any more, no matter what it's for.

It hadn't even dawned on me that it could be considered spam to be honest. It wasn't until he said it that I thought about it. And if I got banned from a forum for posting a pic of a missing kid then it isn't the kind place I'd like to be a member of anyway :D
