Robes?

When do you wear robes? When you get out bed in the a.m.? When you get dressed for bed - is it part of your bedroom ensemble? or when you get out of the shower/bathtub do you put one on? or is it when you get sick? on vacations? slumber parties? Growing up did you wear robes? or is it something you got into when you went to college or got roommates?
