I thought Stomp the Yard was good too, yet I thought it was a little commerical... I didn't feel the senario of the movie was accurate.. it seems with all these movies they have the same concept... a boy who's having a hard life moves away and has to learn to adapt in a new setting be accepted in which he was already an outcast and falls in love with the prettiest girl in school which her father is a dean... its just the same story line.. But over all it was good... lots of nice looking Men!! LOL

Yeah its like why couldn't the girl been a country down to earth chick that wasn't so beautiful and outkast and he had to rise above that.... you know just something different.. LOL

I loved the movie for a few reasons. I was a very big fan of the dance sequences, whether it was the actual stepping or the Chris Brown battle scenes from the beginning of the movie. I think it was a movie more deeply rooted in self-redemption that some of the other ones (I know that Drumline was a very similar movie in terms of overall story). I thought that DJ, the main character, was a much better conflicted character than some of the others in the past. I liked that it was a respectable movie, that there was no real violence with the exception of the opening and that it focused on the brotherhood between the guys, especially with DJ learning about the frats and their traditions.
It reminded me of college, when I was on campus watching the step drills. They are always amazing.
