Are you part of an online Pagan community? Do you read Pagan blogs, go to Pagan chatrooms, or post in Pagan forums? Or do you prefer not to join online communities? Does it seem less real for you by not being able to truely see the person you are discussing religion with?

The one online community I have visited often is WitchVox ... They have a lot of people who write there and a lot of resources and links to people, places, and things wiccan and pagan.

Well this is about as far as a Pagan community as I have on the internet. I don't spend a whole lot of time online to search and check out a lot of sites.
I don't have any problem though discussing my religious views with people in a respectful manor.

I occasionally stop by pagan communities. I usually post over on MysticWicks. Great community, friendly people from all walks of life that truly care about everyone regardless of disagreements and differences in beliefs. I've also found them to be rather helpful when you need to ask a question because you can't find it anywhere else. I like online communities myself, mostly because I can converse with all kinds of people and not have to worry about traveling long distances to do so. Everyone is at my fingertips.

To me it is interesting to be part of an online community, paganism in my opinion is best practiced when there is a world of knowledge provided to someone. The ability to link up with other individuals who also share their interest in paganism is a great tool. There are many different practices and I for one as a solitary practitioner enjoy the ability to learn and share knowledge with different practices.

I have Pagan friends and community both on-line and off. On-line I mostly go to MysticWicks, though not as much as I used too. Witchvox is good too, I especially like Wren's Nest.

I was in both online and offline communities before, and honestly, offline ones felt more 'real'. You get to see and experience things you can't from a chatroom or forum. The politics, however, are more real too...
Nowadays I just hang up with a close knit group of pagan friends. Too much ego in communities for me to handle.

Not at all! My best Pagan friends are online and online only. I have actually performed ritual with friends through online chat-rooms. I've found that the internet can be a powerful connection tool for those of us that have a hard time finding like-minded folks. I have found that many pagan groups have a tendency to be very "clique". The don't like adding outsiders to the group when dealing with in person pagan relationships. (In many of my experiences that is.) The only problem with online groups is that it does seem to slow down the meeting process.
I have friends online that live right in my own town but we've never actually met. It's not because we don't want to meet but for the time being chatting is the most convenient way to have a conversation simply because life is hectic. Online ritual was something I did about once a week for a year with some online friends. We parted ways simply because we couldn't seem to ever get everyone together all at once. Timezones can be a problem. Life gets in the way of a lot of personal encounters and for me it is a good way to stay connected to my other friends. I have to say though that some of my most powerful ritual experiences have happened sitting at my desk with candles lit and just typing out the words for casting the circle and inviting in Diety.
