Those Mac vs PC Commercials...

You are missing the point of the commercials. They are portraying the computers themselves against the other and they are saying that the Mac is better. Having taught both Macs and PCs, I can tell you that Macs are better overall computers and are much more user friendly. Of course, it all depends on what you use a computer for as to which is the better choice for you. I do a great deal of graphics work and I wouldn't trade my Macs for anything. I have two. A desktop and a laptop. Macs also have a much better support team. You can actually go into an Apple store, make an appointment with the genius bar and take your computer to them and they can usually fix any problems or show you how to do things. Another nice thing is that they have classes throughout the week at the Apple stores that you can attend for free to learn everything from how to do the basics to how to create your own movie on a DVD. I've been a Mac fan and user and owner for almost 20 years now and I've also owned a PC but ended up giving it away. And, since the new Macs can be used as both Windows and Mac machines relatively easily, I don't know why anyone would waste time with a PC if you're serious about your computer use. You can have the best of both worlds. Macs are more expensive but they come with more software loaded on them and if you are smart and buy at least a year of Apple Care, you get the best computer support you can ask for. I actually recommend buying two or three years of Apple Care. It's definitely worth it.

I love those commercials! I honestly like PC better though. It does seem like they are promoting mac as a yuppie. But PC's character is hard to resist for me. PC: "I know... How about I just calculate how much time you've just wasted?"

I love those commercials, although I'm not so sure how well they promote or instill people choosing Macs over PCs. I think it's kind of funny because what they say in them is so true. I can't figure out why more people aren't using macs, self included!

I like those commercials, they are funny and speak only what is common knowledge. The PC is a likable character because is what we face everyday at the office :) The MAC is cool maybe what we always wanted to be but never quiet got there. He is nor selfish or annoying in my opinion.

I think the commercials are hilarious although, not entire accurate. I was able to successfully upgrade my machine from Windows XP Sp2 to Vista without having to upgrade my hardware. Granted, it runs like a dog... but I was able to get through the upgrade. Another thing that isn't really mentioned, is that if you take a look at the resource intensity of a MAC vs. PC running Vista, you'll find that the resource consumption is about the same. It's just that very few people take their existing MAC and upgrade the software on it, most people will purchase a whole new system.

i never watch that program because i never know that in my area

I find those commercials very dumb and annoying, and I think PCs will always be better than Macs.
