The star above the name of those who have posted more than 99 posts, indicates how high his/ her discussions are rated. A star with "10" is the highest rating. The rating is basically obtained from the evaluation carried out by the people at myLot.
I hope it is clear now.

hi ashish!
welcome to mylot. don't worry, you will get to know the written and unwritten rules of mylot sooner ot later.
as for your query, the star ratings denote the credibility of the users. i mean, more the quality of response you give, more will be your star rating (10 being the highest). by quality it means, you should abide by the mylo alogithrms and follow mylot alerts intently. another thing ashish, if you drag the mouse and place it on the star, you can see the score aswell.
good luck!

It is the rating. You will get one too eventually. I think when you get to around 100 or 200 posts. If you let your cursor rest over the star a number will display such as 97/100. This would mean that person has 97 positives out of a potential 100.
