I would have to say it depends on the couple and there wishes. Some people can have wonderful relationships without marriage and stay true to one another as if they were married to where others need the commitment and take their vows.
I am for either way as long as the couples are happy and agree that is how they want to live.

Not me,... I think it is not response-able, it;s like not being committed to one person, with whom you should give all your love...Iam not for it, for the above reason.

I have lived with my partner for over 7 years and we have a wonderful relationship. Marriage doesn't make you more faithful or more loving, the relationship does that, but I do think it is the individuals choice as to whether they marry or not.
For me and my partner it works great as we are!

I don't see anything wrong with it, i have been living with my partner for the past 8 years & we're not married.
Everything here is great with us & our relationship & as of June 2006 we have a beautiful baby girl.
What's the point in spending big bucks for a wedding just to end up with a piece of paper that says you can legally share the same surname & that you're in love - i know i know my partner, i don't need to paper that tells me that!
The majority of marriages end in divorce these days anyway, things between us have been strong & going perfectly for 9 years or so now!
I'm all for living together before marriage or staying together without being married - as long as there's the commitment, that's all that matters!
