wow, i have finally got my book published.

Congratulations! That's brilliant. I have only made small steps to get stuff published and apart from one or two articles in our association journal never had anything really published. I was talking about this with one of our writing group the other day who is what I would call a "natural" writer - never really has to work at it, but always produces spectacular stuff. Oh, I digress again.... I was saying to him that the odds do seem to be stacked against a writer. First you need to get read by an editor, next you need to get accepted for publication, and finally if you pass those two hurdles, your book needs to sell. We both agreed that we had fun dreaming. You have certainly come through the first two hurdles, now may your book be in great demand:-)

When I was a child I wanted to be writer and write a book, then I got older and did Drama at school and learned how to write a script for a radio play, then went on to do film studies and learned how to write a script for a Movie, I then wanted to write a movie. sadly I have never done any of these things maybe one day I will I just haven't got round to it or had an idea good and original enough to write yet.

Good for you. Congratulations! I know it's not easy to write a good book and get it published. I've have two books published as well, not so good ones, but useful for language learners I hoped. And I had to get over a lot of obstacles to have it done at last.

Congratulations I must say I am a bit jealous because I have thought about writing a book so many times and I started like 3 but after a few pages I quit I just can write such a long thing LOL I wanted to write a novel, but it seems I always have to summarize and my story ends up being 5 pages long! Well I guess I could do som eshort stories but to tell the truth I don't think I am that good at that LOL I think I am gonna stick to mylot and leave the art of writing to others But if you want your book translated in French, well think about me! LOL ;-) Best of luck for your book Is it going to be available only in the UK or can we expect it in the US too? :D ... maybe you could set an online store and try to sell it worldwide ... what do you think?

What company is publishing it? and how much will they charge for it? Also, are you just calling it the prison diaries or do you have another name for it? I have a piece of fiction that I would like to publish but first I need to print it out and do a hard edit to it. Also, a friend was going to read it over. The problem is I just bought a refurbished laser toner cartridge and started printing it two days ago and after about 50 pages the toner started to go bad.

Well first of all a hardy congratulations to you....I've had a few short stories published and in the past I've had my photos published as well...and am now still working toward more being published in the future--

This is such an inspiring post!!! CONGRATULATIONS! I've always wanted to publish my diaries - I have a collection of about twelve from 1996 to now - but I'm sure they're not nearly as interesting as the work you've created. Anyway, I have some questions, if that's okay: 1: what kept you working on this day after day? 2: did you have challenges with writer's block? 3: did you mentor others in their efforts as a way to keep up with your own project? 4: did you self publish your work? (I'm an avid self publisher, but would like to be traditionally published one day) Again, congratulations on such an exciting accomplishment.

That is so wonderful, is your book going to be a book just yours or with some others?? I would love to read it sometime.

Congratulations! I guess this is a milestone of your life, keep good work. I appreciate your guts to do this. I have a goal now and I'll try writing diaries in future. Are you a college teacher?

Congratulations dear friend! I didn't know that you were a writer with some published works, though I could guess from your messages here that you have the potential to be a good writer. I hope the books sells many copies. Is there any way in which your mylto friends can have a glimpse ofit? It would be nice to put some extrcats here, so that some can even order it if they like it really. What do you think about that?
