I mean, if driving - do you throw stuff/litter out of the window? How do you feel when you see someone else do it? Or if walking in the street, do you pick up someone elses litter and put in the litterbin? What about biodegradable products - do you buy biodegradable or just anything? What do you do to make our world just a tiny little bit better - or do you think that it is such a mess anyway - why bother?

It drives me into ranting when I see people throwing trash out their windows!!! My parents use to tell me to do it when I was a kid and then at the point that I realized how awful that was I refused! I would sit and hold the trash until we got to our destination before I would do it. I have got onto them time and time again for it. They even got my sister into the habit and she hears about it too.
As far as walking on the street - we like in a rural area so we don't do much walking but I probably would do that. I can see me doing it.
I do like buying biodegradable products over non but it's not always possible.
I do think we can make a difference. But it's going to take time to do it. Because no everyone cares enough. I recycle aluminum cans, reuse plastic bags (and not use them when ever possible), use energy effect light bulbs...small things like that. But I like to think it helps. Oh my hubby and I also carpool to work.

It is really unbelievable how many people just don't care. We have lots of tourists in Namibia and they are usualy very conscious not to litter then I get ashamed if my own countrymen who needs these tourist litter our country up. This weekend we found a place next to the road in the desert - everything is beautiful and clean and suddenly here is a place where someone dumped a whole black bag full of litter and the wild animals tore it up and the wind blowed it all over the place. It makes me want to cry.

I personally do not throw litter on the floor and also encourage my daughter to use the bins around and if there is ot one to give me the rubbish to put in my bag until we get home or find a nearby bin. I think if we all do our bit it will help however as I do not work at the moment I find the extra money I have to spend on biodegradable items a bit steep but if they were to come down in price I would be happy to use them.

I never litter. If I see papers and such on the ground I will pick them up. I love nature I am teaching our daughter to love and respect it. To take only memories and pictures and to leave only footprints anytime we are out in the woods or at the beach or park.
