If you are dealing in Cash, it is a good thing to make sure the count is correct. Well, since Bank Note is a legal tender of a country and surely bearing the respect due to certain factors.
I do admit that I count the cash before paying or accepting but seldom check currency note (fake or genuine). But some live instances of encashing the fake currency made me to think upon the genuineness too.
How often you check the currency for genuineness, while dealing in cash? Is it good to do so before the person who is paying to you?

Hi! I am a student Well, what I feel is that accepting money or dealing in money is not bad but even then one must keep the plastic money like a debit card or credit card, a tension free transaction :) But it doesn't mean that you must deny the importance of money. I do buy lot of things by money. I don't check the fakeness as I don't have much money to deal with. hehehe Thanks for discussion Aliasad!

I've not ever checked for counterfit paper money, but often the clerks do. The new U.S. currency is apparently more often fake.

I sell things on ebay... and I don't accept personal checks. It's too common that they can bounce, etc. I only accept paypal payments, because paypal backs those payments and I CAN'T lose out.
