Why should every hero have a unique power?

If you think about it, what would a series like that be like if all the characters had the same powers? What about super strength.

well they should have a unique power because they're all unique individuals! no 2 heroes are the same, each are special in the own different way^_^ ..besides their unique capabilities are to complement each other.

I don't get what's weird with that. I mean, if all of them had the same power, then it wouldn't be much of a show, right? It's their different powers that will make them come together to save the world. If say, all of them only has Hiro's ability, nothing will change because they'll just go back and forth in time/space. What's the point? There wouldn't be a problem in the first place because nobody would have the ability to explode. This is like wondering why the members of X-men or the Justice League has unique powers. I'm thinking that you're asking why not one of them has the same power as the other one? Why all of them have different abilities? I think someone out there has the same power as one of them, only they aren't discovered.

I don't think it's weird cause God create us with many difference. Each person doesn't have the same ability with other. And because of that different we need each other to keep survive..

That's like asking why should every one have their own unique fingerprints?

I don't know....why is that weird? Every person is unique genetically, so why wouldn't their powers be? Maybe as more people start popping up with powers, some with have the same or similar powers, but we've only seen about 20 or so people with special abilities.
