Why are the untattooed so quick to judge those of us who are?

I have been in Indianapolis, IN for a little over two months now. Everywhere I go people look at me like I just landed here from another planet. In St. Louis people would say how cool they look, here they cross the street or point and laugh. I can not even get a job at Taco Bell!! Because you can see the ones on my neck and arms.

I dont see that there is a problem with people who have tattoos, and im untattoed ((not for long hehe)) but still i think its because people dont like the fact that you are sticking something onto your skin for life and it is not easily removed and also i think that people who have those MASSIVE tatooes dont look nice, but there are some small tatooes that look nice but i do not judge people by their tatooes although some people have these nasty tatooes and be nasty people but thats rare to see :)

This is why if I ever got a tattoo, I would only get one somewhere I could hid it with a shirt or something. Not that I find anything wrong with them, just the issues other have. Also I'm not sure what I would get that I would want the rest of my life. Hard decision to make. But I have heard of employers doing this latley. I know people who have to wear long sleaved shirts or arm braces to cover them up. Maybe you could try covering them when you go into apply and then keep them covered while working there. Might help...
