Hello I have a 8mth old baby. When he was a newborn he had colic and acid reflux really bad. He would not sleep unless with myself. I had to sleep with him upright as he would throw up and not turn his head so he would choke. Anyways for 8mths I have been co-sleeping with him and want to put him in his crib..without crying it out if possible. I have tried the hole CIO and he screamed for 1 hr. It was horrible for me and I just can't do this to him. I have tried many times and just want him to be happy. I have stayed with him and rubbed his belly and back without talking and tried breast feeding him and putting him in asleep but when he awakes he is not a happy camper..plus he can be fast asleep but as soon as you put him in the crib he wakes up like it stung him....HELP

I have had another idea. If he won't sleep in his crib in his room, try putting it in your room for a few nights so he gets used to it. Maybe just the familiarity of your room and the noise of you sleeping may help him.
Other than that, I don't know what else to suggest. I feel so bad for you. I saw Steve's facebook status message. Must have been a rough night. Does your sister or mom have any suggestions for you?
Talk to you later.

Hello
No ideas. The last two nights he was about 2 hrs of screaming, by then he was wide awake...which is what has been happening all along. Maybe there are ghosts in there..lol I will keep trying. My sister slept with Kayla in her bed but Kayla went nicely into her crib after...
oh well. Thanks for responding. I was thinking of moving the crib...:)

I know you hate to hear this, but letting him cry is probably your best option. Other than that, I don't know what to suggest. It is just going to get harder.
I would love to hear other responses to this. It is such a hard thing. It is easier said than done to let them cry it out.

Yes totally is hard. Thanks for responding svenderella. I have let him cry it out but he doesn't seem to calm down he just gets worse and worse...yet he will let me put him in his car carrier to sleep..isn't that weird...
