LOVE- Does it REALLY exist???

Whilst I'm sure there are many discussions about love already out there, I would like to bring a different flavour to everyone. The word love means many things to different people. Some may see it as the true essence of human beings' purpose on earth, while the sceptics of the world see it as nothing more than an abstract noun, given far too much importance in the world.
Nobody is wrong as, although technological advancements move at an undeniably fast pace, we still cannot determine what love is, or infact, if it exists.
No doubt we've all experienced that fluttering butterfly feeling in the pit of our stomachs, that dubiously feel more like bats flying around in there, when we are in the presence of someone very special. But can we put a name to that feeling, and if so, should the name be 'LOVE'?I'd like to hear from anyone who has been in love, thought they were in love, think love is non-existent in this world, or just anyone who has something genuine to say about it.
I want stories people!!!

I cannot make myself believe that kind of love really exist except the love between parents and child. Some people just like the feeling to be admired, recognized, and supported. they want an assuring life ,they want someone to rely on.They like the same kind of person at most which make love replacable. The line between friendship and love is also blur.

Is that perhaps because you may not have fallen for someone hard, or do you genuninely remain sceptical about anything to do with love? I know I was extremely sceptical at first (well that's an understatement, I didn't think it was possible to ever love anyone so deeply that you could do anything for them). But even though my experiences with love haven't been very good, I still feel it.
And, yes, friendship and love are very close together, but might that be because there are different kinds of love?

I believe that there is real love, besides the love among friends and relatives, in the world. But it's so hard to wait it, especially falling in love with each other.
However, I don't look forward to my real love.
