Here are some suggestions I will tell you:
a) When you look at an item on eBay, know the price in the store. Sometimes sellers sell the item for more.
b) When you look at an item, add the shipping and your bid together, it could be a 0.01 for a bid, but the shipping is 20.00 USD, so you have to add them together to see what you are paying.
c) In order to make sure your seller is trustful go through his/her feedback, he should have around 90% positive.
d) Look through the feedback, what do the negatives say? What do the positives say? How does the seller handle the negatives?
e) Who is leaving the feedback? Just buyers? Just sellers? If the seller just has feedback from other sellers be cautious of him/her.
I will give you examples: I paid 4.01 USD for a brand new CD by an artist I was interested in, that includes shipping and my bid. That is very cheap considering CDs brand new can cost from 10.00 USD or more here where I live.
From time to time I use Palmer's Scar Serum on a scar I have, at the store, it costs 10.00 USD. On eBay I found a seller who was selling 3 bottles for 21 USD (including the shipping), that is way cheaper than the stores. Plus, the bottles came with free chap stick :).

Yes, i use to bye one to two things a month. sometimes i sell something, but it difficult. my stuff usually break before i can sell it. And yes, it's safe as people say. you can pay by paypal, and it's really safe, if you don't get the product you're buying the paypal will give your money back after a little process

I have found some great deals on eBay. The thing is, you do kind of have to be careful about who you are purchasing from. Check their ratings and the feedback to get a decent idea of the people who are selling an item you may want.
I find a lot of things on eBay that I am usually looking for. And it isn't as expensive as a real store, although it usually depends on the item you are looking to buy. Sometimes, shipping costs offset any type of savings.
Just do your research and you'll be fine if you choose to buy on eBay.

I think that you can find anything, but have certain precautions.
- Tax in your country or state.
- What are you goin to pay for ship.
- If the price is the right price.
I have bought something and the price was the best, but the seller didn't want ship to me.
