According to Jewish law, a child born to a Jewish man and a non-Jewish woman is not automatically a Jew. A child born to a non-Jewish man and a Jewish woman was automatically a Jew. So, tell me which God thinks is more important?!
Women are highly respected in the Bible. Many times men are told how lucky they are to get a good wife, yet it never mentions that a woman is lucky to get a good man, or any man at all for that matter. There are good and bad men and women in the Bible, God focuses on the good in each.
So, I think your premise is faulty, therefore your conclusion is wrong.

thanks for your opinion, but please read what I responded to SNDCAIN. (above) I should have quoted my bible reference: 1 Timothy 2: 11-16

I think I had written this before your reply. We must remember that the letters Paul wrote, while great for doctrine and God breathed, still dealt with specific issues. Timothy pastored at Ephesus. History tells us the there was a very large group of women at Ephesus who were unruly and were trying to take the church there in a way contrary to the teachings of Christ. That is what Paul was dealing with. As a matter of fact, in the last chapter of Romans, Paul talks about a woman and refers to her as a deaconess, a high position in the Church. Paul had much respect for true, godly women.

"Men chose how, women are to be treated"? "Women carry a curse due to Eve's sin in the garden"? Women are distinct. Women are special. Without them humanity will not exist. Bible wouldn't be written. Pro-creation and child-rearing will be impossible without women. Because of this very nature, women are homers. This does not mean a discrimination. It is distict role, valued pricelessly. It is a difficult responsiblity though. If men were to substitute, they would be the ones to lament now.
