I am being sabotaged on MyLot police

This sounds like a very frustrating thing to be going through and I'm sorry to read that you're having this experience. I'm going through the same thing over at AC and I've been told there's a lot of people over there called "de-raters" and their mission is to bring down the ratings of others so their content will pop up first in searches or whatever else. Do you think the same thing is going on over here? I don't know much about the ratings here yet - I'm VERY new.

I can't believe you are being treated this way. What gives? You always create decent discussions and your replies are honest. I can't figure it out, especially if you haven't been on the system and you still lose points.

First - what I do know (Assuming that it's just points that you are losing but all of your discussions are still there). If you responded to a discussion that was copied & pasted, especially if it was originally posted by another MyLot member, your repsonse gets tossed along with the copied & pasted posting. SOmetimes, people who had made constant guidelines violations have gotten banned, & all their discussions & responses removed. Your responses end up going along with those also. Here's an area that I'm not too sure of, but it appears that you're a long-time member of the site, seeing that you have over 10 times the points I have. I believe that if an old discussion has not been responded to or had a comment left on it for a long period of time, it gets abducted by aliens as to avoid the problem of full hard drives on the server. Geez - I don't exact envy whoever has the task of taking back-ups of the site data.

Well sis, I do not know what to say about this, as I have never understood how this site really works! I know that some really strange things happen with the scoring here and a lot of times doesn't seem worth even trying to get anywhere. That is one reason that I am not on here much. I have enjoyed some of the discussions but still not sure if it is worth it, plus I only have so much spare time to get a chance to get on the site, between working in my shop and my writing. Dee

If I'm not wrong your points go down these don't happen if they delete your discussions but the responses you post at other discussions right?And if so I can understand what wrong you can write for they delete your response or you post someones else discussions and after be deleted.Of course I couldn't understand why they can delete your discussions also. If some one report you just because he want do it to you mylot didn't check the report before he delete?any person who doesn't like us can report us and our discussion or response deleted just like this?something go wrong here and i can't understand what.....please don't give up and try see what is going wrong I'm sure you gonna find the way.

Who? Why would myLot just delete without reason anyway? Yes I know it happens and it has happened to me too, but surely they can't make so many mistakes? :P

I´m so sorry to hear this, Margie. This has happened to me too, I lost points even though I was not posting, just responding. According to the site´s staff it was due to a glitch. For the last couple of days this hasn´t been happening. I don´t think you´ve offended anyone. It´s been happening to so many people here, I sincerely hope that it´s a tecnical problem. I wouldn't worry about this. A lot of people have lost points and the ones with a larger amount of posts are more likely to notice it. What happens is that sometimes Mylot bans members and deletes all their posts. So, if you have posted something in their discussions, then your points will drop. Often, though not always, your pay does not go down. I know there was one time where my points went down a lot. It turned out that a few of my friends got banned and all their posts and discussions were deleted. But, I wasn't paid any less.

I am so sorry for this. Have you tried to contact mylot and ask them why this is happening. I have seen some other users complaining about the same thing. I really do not keep track of my points so I do not get upset, however I might start doing that now.

I know how you feel as I was knocked down to a six star from a ten star overnight and have yet to understand why. My rating has not moved up for months so either there is a glitch in the system or some people here on mylot can't find better things to do with thier time.

I understand believe me.......A few months ago i posted something from an email i received and I got reported for not posting the author of the articles name.... I told them that I had no idea who the author was because someone sent it to me via email and she said that I should have noted that on the post. I can't understand why people are such jerks sometimes.

I am so sorry you are having these issues. I am going to try to keep up with my points better to see if I am losing them also. What spys are you referring too, why would someone want to do this, do they gain points for targeting others? I hope you get to the bottom of it. I still have had NO reply from mylot on my deleted discussion.

I am so sorry to hear this. It seems that something VERY strange is going down with Mylot recently and I have no idea whats happening. I have no clue why so many members are losing points, yet they all say the same thing. They message Mylot and they get no reply. I'm one of the lucky ones in that my points haven't been attacked as of yet, but with so many people having this happening, it can only be a matter of time. It makes me wonder whether it's even worth messaging Admin, because we probably wouldn't get a reply anyway.

Are you loosing points or actually seeing a decrease by cents worth each and evry day? If you are decreasing your revenue by mere cents everyday it is either because anyone under you (someone you asked to join using your invite link allows for you to make a percentage off their income. While a percentage of your earning is being removed everyday, it is also being replaced. Watch carefully and don't feel you are being sabotaged, if anything it seems you might be headed for a reward. Just keep writing cause this place is a major opportunity for income, friendship and a foundation to change current cognitive constructs to better improve communications between cultures and genders.

Well Margie, I haven't beenon here for a week or so due to my new job, but I did find they have been taking points more regularly off the more experienced mylotters of late/. I can't really understand it either and it has left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth also. If it weren't for good friends I probably wouldn't even bother coming on here any more either. Chin up....

If your points are going down, doesnt that mean that someone elses discussion was deleted that you commented on? I have never really know how this site works as it seems to change in the middle of the game. Does Mylot tell you when a discussion you started is deleted? I couldn't be that you offended anyone if it is someone elses discussion is deleted. As far as I know I have not had any deleted but that is just an assumption. I am very careful of the discussions that I comment on these days. As I did loose points when some discussions were deleted. I dont wnat to loose points so I am more careful in hopes that I wont loose points. Sorry that this happened to you and I hope you get an answer from mylot. I wish that there was a way to know who is rating our discussions. I think that would put a stop to all back stabbing that is happening on mylot. I have always rated you postive.

Yea, I pretty much agree with you. I have been on myLot for a while and I am not sure why my rating keeps going up and then down. I am thinking people don't like my responses or they don't like me reporting them, well then they shouldn't be abusing the myLot system. I usually give good replies (unless it is a question with just one question, usually I give those only 4 sentence reply). I am not sure who hates you, but trust me I have seen people give negatives just for fun or whatnot. Don't worry about your rating anymore. I haven't, you know I started out with a 2 when I got to 100 and I was giving good responses then and had to work my a$$ off for an 8, and then it went to a 9 and then I posted on some controversial topics and it went down to an 8. Basically I just don't give a f**k anymore cos I am trying my best and if people want to give me a negative then go ahead. I know they will eventually get their account deleted. Pablo

WOW! 16000 posts! That's an achievement. I wish I could even post half what you do. Well, If I was in your place, I would be pretty pissed off too. Though I don't really notice my points being deducted, I only notice it when they deduct my earnings. So far, I've only been deducted 40 cents last week. Cheer up, maybe it is a glitch.

I'm sorry to heard this.I hope it would never happen again to you and to all mylotters... but I really proud of you to stay in mylot for more tahn 7 month,I appreciate to you... I can give you any opinion or advice,because your experience is far better than me

I wonder if someone is threatened by your success here? It is sad but there are people like that in the world. Instead of working to improve themselves they find it easier to tear others down. To a degree I understand that myLot has to act on things being reported. But I am starting to think that they really need to come up with a way to provide us with feedback whenever they find it necessary to remove points. I mean, nothing too detailed, just a report perhaps weekly with general discriptions like 'guideline violation', 'reported abuse'. While they do need to protect themselve against scammers and cheats, they should also think about protecting the honest users who are vulnerable to 'myLot police'. I am sorry this is happening to you. You have friends here. We can all try to respond and keep you on the positive until things get figured out. I hope they get figured out.
