i never throw away left over food, when we know its not yet spoiled.sometimes i cook many and just only put in the refrigerator when we like to eat for the next day.Throwing left over foods, is like you did not give importance of all your salary that you worked to much of it and many are dying for hunger in the streets.

we eat it for lunch the next day. We only throw away food if it's gone bad or mouldy but that rarely happens because we plan our meals very well.

With as much waste the individuals working at the finest eateries love to contribute to, I save stuff for the next day ONLY IF I made too much. With the cost of food, the longevity of its preservation (how many days fresh is it really), I don't cook more than I need. Less baggies for leftovers, less waste to end up in a landfill ! Plus, leftover pasta or rice or potatoes can always be eaten with a new main course the following day and those get put in plastic, washable, reuseable tubs with matching, fitting lids ! Dishwasher friendly too !the red stuff is really gone after washing in the dishwasher, wow what an improvement !

well it all depends on the types of food..there are some foods that you would throw away, but there are some that taste so much better when its leftover til the next day..like lasagna, spanish rice, nicely seasoned steaks..depends on the food but foods that marinate always seem to be more flavorful the next day..

As others have said here, it depends. If it is good, yes we'll go ahead and have it for as long as it dissapears! Otherwise, to the dogs it goes! Dogs are great garbage disposals, lol!! Being of Native American descent, I like to live by the law, want not, waste not. Waste is a terrible thing and again, as others stated here earlier, why do it, while millions of others in third world countries would literally die for a healthy meal as us American's are so fortunate to have.

I try to keep all food as leftovers. I feel guilty when I throw food away as there are so many people starving in the world or I could be using it as a compost.

I usually try to save the left over food for the next day. I just hate wasting the extra food if I don't have to. If it's something that really just doesn't save well at all, then I'll get rid of it, but otherwise I just cover it and put it in the refrigerator for another meal.

It depends on the type of food, some food are very tasty even when left, steak, eggs, pizza all taste great, whilst some food you have no choice but to throw away.

True, I feel bad to throw away the food, but I also have to consider from the health point of view.

I used to save my left overs for my hubbys work the next day. Now that my hubby works out of town all week I throw it away most of the time because I always forget to eat them and then it just goes bad in the fridge anyways. I try not to cook an over abundance cause I hate throwing food away.

If you cook less, then you can throw less. How do you think? :-)

Since my hubby works out of town now, I hardly ever cook a big meal. I can portion for my daughter and I pretty well but when my hubby is in I never know how much hes going to eat. Thats where I have the problem at.

If we have leftovers, we always save them for the next day to eat. We do not throw away food, because there are a lot of straving people in this world who is not as blessed as we are to have food to put on the table.

Well it depends upon the type of food. Normally i give it to the dogs if it's good for them. The useless are thrown in the garbage container. The others are stored in fridge.

It depends how tasty the food was and how big the amount is that was left over. If it was tasty and there is a portion for me left I will gladly eat it the next day. But if I did not especially like it or the leftovers are small, why bother. I throuw that into the garbage.

Depends on the food, some things I keep for the next day whilst others wouldn't remain too tasty so just ditch them away or feed it to the dog.

It really depends on what kind of food it is. Some food are just not tasty the day after. If it is something that we can eat we will save it. However we usually never eats it, coz when the next day comes we wants something else. Sometimes I will make a lunchbox out of it and bring it with me to work though

sometimes we will leave leftovers for the next day. I usually take my lunch to work and so I take the leftovers. However, my husband will not eat many leftovers so I don't save it unless I know that it is something that the kids or I will eat. Cold pizza is something that he will eat and I won't so I try to save it for him. I usually can't make myself get rid of leftover veggies either as you should be able to find a use for them.

I box all left overs for my husband to take to lunch the next day. I myself don't like to eat left overs, but he'll eat anything and it saves us money if he doesn't have to buy lunch.

Not if it can be avoided. I was brought up to believe throwing food away was a sin. You can freeze sometimes and use another day, After a roast, next day have cold meat and bubble and squeak,( mashed up fried veggies, lovely. And of course pellings etc can go in the compost heap .
