Do you consider yourself a, republican, liberal, democrate, independant? Do you vote? Do you always vote for people in your party or do you cross the lines for who ever is best suited for the position?

thanks for the post. this has been a bone of contention for me since i became an adult... able and ready and willing to vote in every election. i consider myself and "independent". to me, that means i will vote for whoever u feel is the most qualified, honest, sincere, dedicated, knowledgeable candidate. BUT... i can't do that, because if i register as an "independent", i am unable to vote in SO many elections. so i am registered as a democrat. that enables me to vote across party lines in the major elections, but not down to the local level. best compromise i could come up with within this system. of course, for major votes i can always vote a "write-in" candidate, but i've never seen valid proof that a write-in vote is even counted. take care.

The traditional views of my family is socialistic. And i support this party when i vote. But for me the politic is something very changeable and in fact deeply in myself i dont think that somebody of all theese parties really care.
