Do you keep your shoes til they fall apart?

I keep my shoes until they fall apart. If I get new ones I still keep my old ones cause I never know when they are going to look good with another outfit. I hate getting rid of shoes. When they fall apart I will throw them away.

I have numerous pairs of shoes and sneakers also- Most of my sneakers are filthy- I wear them 4-wheeling when I buy a new pair. So these can't be donated. I wear them until they are comfortable and then toss them. Shoes and sandals if they just don't feel right I will drop them off in the clothing drop box- only if they are in good shape. I just bought a pair of great looking brown sandals- they hurt my feet terrible- I'm debating on dropping them this weekend- No sense in keeping them when I won't wear them. My daughter has tons of shoes and outgrows them all the time- She puts the too small ones (in good shape) in her yard sale pile- She sells her stuff she no longer wants or needs and keeps cash- : ) I told her if she does the deal she can have the cash!

I have several pairs of shoes, because I like shoes! And I rotate them in wear on what looks good with what outfit. I usually keep them and wear them until they fall apart or need to be trashed. Like my favorite pair of brown heeled sandals, I wore them until they did fall apart. We were leaving my mom's house and the sole just ripped apart and I had no shoe! Then another time we were leaving Wal-mart and one of my flip-flops bit the dust in the parking lot. So, yeah, I wear them until they can be worn no more.

Unlike my daughter who must have 20 pairs of shoes, I keep my shoes until they fall apart or until my daughter takes them.

I don't seem to wear mine enough for them to fall apart, I have some older ones I don't really wear so I probably should just drop them off in the local clothing donation box, they are still in good shape. So yes, I get bored of wearing a certain pair and toss them aside, i have way too many shoes for a dude.

I usually wear them until they are ready to throw away! I often will take the old ones and use them for gardening etc., but sometimes, I do things in my good shoes too...I know I shouldn't but I do!

I have some that are really falling apart and i just love them so much that my heart does not wanna let go *lol* I also have alot of shoes that I have worn a few times and they are now just collecting dust. I have also thouhgt about donating them, I do not know why i havent done it yet. I will take this discussion as an omen and donate them fist thing tomorrow =)

In fact I do keep them until they fall apart! Lol. Actually I only have two pairs and I am not fond of buying many shoes. i will wear them until the end of their usage condition. Lol.

Yeah, just about the time they feel really comfortable, they are ready to fall apart. I only have a few pair of shoes and don't need 47 pair like the average woman. Nothing wrong with that, you have to always be prepared. Us men like to wing it mostly, as a good worn out pair of tennis shoes goes fine with just about any attire. Unlike my daughter, who is no doubt planning to open up her own shoe store, as she has several pair bought months and months ago that look brand new. And don't get me started on the granddaughter's number of shoes...

I usually wear my shoes for a certain amount of time before I can't stand them anymomre because they are rather worn out, and instead of getting rid of them, my mom ends up taking them and wearing them. She gets more use out of them than I do. There are a lot of my old shoes around here that my mom 'uses' but she always ends up going to a local donation store and buying a couple of really nice, cheap pairs anyway so I'm not sure why I let her keep them around. I'm not a huge shoe person myself, so I only wear one pair of shoes. Sneakers and a pair of dress shoes since I really hate dressing up anyway.

I definitely wear my shoes until they go. My favorite pair of shoes decided to die during this past winter. That is the only time I'll get new shoes, if they die.

I usually wear them until they are just about worn out LOL and really no use to anyone else. I don't have many shoes just a few like one pair of sneakers, two casual flat shoes, 1 pair of boots, 1 pair of heels and two sets of jandals..i think thats it! :)

With me i get all the use out of anything i have as i find being on a tight budget i just cant throw things aside and by new just because i am tired of it. When my sneakers become ratty i will replace them with new but then the old ones get promoted to other uses. I usally use them around home for yardwork and moving the lawn stuff like that and usually when they get that old they are just getting comfortable too lol.

I get rid of them right away and go shopping for new ones.

I keep mine until they are almost trash, as far as "hles" go...I don't wear shoes with holes, but I do pretty much buy the same pair everytime I buy shoes and they are black and eventually start to turn greenish and the steel toe start poking out,...then I get new ones...

My weakness is shoes and sandals. If I like something, I usually get them in 2 colors and keep wearing them until I find a new style. When I look at my closet and I got plenty already, I take out the ones that I think I probably won't wear again then give it to my relatives. Usually they are almost new. Right now, what am crazy about are the ballet flats. So, I got 3 of them and since late last year and until now, I am wearing them all the time. Probably it is because I am expecting so it is very comfortable wearing them.

yes, i do keep my shoes until they fall apart. i am a person who is really trying hard to be very frugal because we are facing times of crisis. :) i take care of my shoes so as not to have the need to buy new ones. :)

I used to but since i've had my daughter I cant really get comfortable in heels now so, i've given alot of designer shoes to the salvation army.

i only have slipper and a pair of joggers and i really don't like to have more shoes, i keep my shoes until they are comfortable and look nice, when the shoes starts to need repair i change them

HI there yes i keep my shoes til they have holes in them then i will toss them i figure if the shoe fits and is comfortable why not just keep wearing the shoes? It also saves on money too jenny
