my mom uses credit card to pay for what we purchase because HSBC has a promo. everytime we buy using the HSBC card, we get "mabuhay miles" which when summed up can be equivalent to an airplane ticket. :) my elder sister likes to travel so she can really use those mabuhay miles points. :)

If it's a few bucks, I would use cash. Otherwise I would use my credit card because I am on point system. Everytime I use my credit card, I collect the points and I could redeem "something" later when I have reached certain points. I quite like the point system because usually I could redeem some coupons from the supermarket and that would save me money buying food.

I don't carry cash with me anymore as I have had it stolen to often in the past so when I go to pay for something now , I use my debit . On rare occasions when I need something and don't have the money for it right away , then I will use my credit card to pay but don't like doing this as I don't want to be dishing out more on the interests rates if I don't really need it right away . Credit cards are great to help you out of a bad time but they can become an easy habit and a quick way into debt if one is not careful .

I like to pay by cash, but I should use my credit card to pay for everything. The reason I say this is because I have the GM Master Card. Every time I use this card, money is put towards a GM car for me. So far, I've accumulated about $2,000 that will be deducted from the price of a car of my choice when I decide to purchase a GM vehicle.
