Have you ever had termites?

Yes, I have. That's because we live in a tropical climate and these yucky termites keep showing up. So we had no choice but to call the pest busters in to get rid of them. They had to put some kind of a red powder. Highly poisonous stuff so our pets and our food had to be kept away from these. It's good to have regular checks for termites and take preventive measures. These nasty creatures can cause lots of damage even over a single night.

My parents live in Florida and it seems to be a plague down there. I know my parents have been tormented by those little buggers as well. They are hard to get rid of and even harder to keep them at bay. My parents have to have the house treated as well. It is not cheap that is for sure!

Hello ladyljs. One of the trees on one side of our street used to have termites many years ago. We were told that the termites are bad insects that can pull down a tree or even a house if they keep bugging it. I felt nervous about it. I was very young at that time and got scared when hearing it. I did not know what they did to get rid of the termites eventually. I guess that they used some pests spray.

I have several problems with our house before. They really are a problem and most of the time you will never know until its too late. Our house is constructed in a rocky surface where termites abound. This is probably the reason why they shifted to our house. But now, I think the problem has been resolved already.. you are right, it is costly.
