if america go to war with iran who do you think will win?????

There is no military, terrorist group, or paramilitary organization that can defeat the U.S. military on the battlefield. The only place where the U.S. military can be defeated is on the floor of the House and Senate. Like Vietnam, the troops in Iraq are not losing the war, however, many in the U.S. Congress are working very hard to see that they do. As far as Iran goes, they have been at war with the U.S. for a long time now. I have no idea why so many people think that it's only a war if the enemy is shooting but we're not shooting back.

America lost to Iraq? This is new news to me. I think only an idiot will go to war with America. But thank God they don't use gurilla tactics where you come from behind and hit and run. But if you interpret Saddam's reunion with Allah is the ultimate achivement in war then of course there will be so many winners in Iran.

Nobody wins a war, society loses. I think the yanks will lose, they are fighting for oil. The Iranians just like their neighbours in Iraq will be fighting for there homeland, their beliefs and their families. It is hard to defeat people with a true cause to fight. I think it will be another Viet Nam and will take a long time and lots of lives to settle nothing.

I don't think that anybody would win, I think it would just add to our strain in Iraq. But as the first poster has already said, the militants that we would be fighting in Iran are already fighting us now in Iraq. Although I wouldn't go as far as saying that we are at war with the nation of Iran I believe that things in the region would go from bad to worse, some of our shiite allies in Iraq, could possibly turn against us. The battlefield that we are fighting on now would probably grow, and obviously casualty rates for U.S. troops and our allies may rise, and civilian casualties would definitely rise. Plus it would provoke greater instability in a region that could hardly get any worse for people living there. But, I do think that there may be a time in the future where it would be necessary for the world to take drastic measures to avoid nuclear war. Hopefully this will not be our fate, but the future doesn't look to promising.
