Has anyone had a problem with their instrument cluster?

I keep on having intermittent working of my instrument cluster on my BMW 525i 1990. I read at various places to change the capacitors. I changed 2 out of the 5 that were told but it works intermittently. Before changing these two capacitors, the cluster was not working at all.
Should I change the other 3 as well? Any inputs would be of great help.

probably. you should also check the other connections in the electricals of the gauges. is it working fully, and the lights are the ones that arent working? because i took out our car's gauges recently, and now the gauge lights suddenly turn off at random times. i'm gonna open it up again to reconnect the wiring properly sometime.
