Which would you rather do if a discussion is similar? Do you find yourself responding to a discussion that has many responses like 50,100, or more? Or would you rather respond to a discussion with no responses or very few? Why is that? when I respond to a discussion it is because I think the topic is good. Many times I would rather respond to a discussion with fewer responses so it is more noticeable but when the topic is very good I will reply to a discussion with many responses.

I responde to both kind of discussions, it mostly depends on the topic. If the topic interesting to me I will answer to it for sure

yes, by all means, we can respond to both discussions. what is important is that one is not a copy of the other. once this happens, it becomes our duty to report the one which came later than the other. this can be determined easily as to which one is the copy, by the length of time that has elapsed since the time of posting such discussions.

yes i do agree, but before a person is reported i would make sure the discussions are the same ones

Well , I agree with you , just because many people are responding to a discussion , doesnt mean it is a good topic for you ... your intrestes may vary , so I respond only to discussions that make mme think .... like this one ;-

i tend to respond to the topic with fewer responses.i like the feeling of being on the first page.maybe like you said,i like to be noticable. of course,if that topic is from my friend, and it happens to have more than 50 responses,i will still get to it.but i think that situation not always happen, coz when my friends start a topic,i will respond to it as soon as i can, usually within 20 posts,if i didn't,that is because i still don't know how to reply. sometimes i will reply twice, their topics maybe similar, but i will find the difference, and i will discuss on the different details.

yes i agree, sometimes too i feel if the topic has many responses already the reply i was gonna add is probably already in there in same way and they pretty much got the answer they were looking for, i like discussions that have fewer responses because mine is more noticeable and i like trying to help them by giving advice. :)

Well the reason I respond to discussions with no responses is because, I seem to have an in depth understanding of some of the questions that don't get responded to! whereas a lot of other persons don't! But then again I also see a good topic, that alot of people respond to, and I also feel the need to respond! Especially if it is one of my interests!

Yeah, I respond to topics I like. It doesn't really matter if there are a lot of replies or not. I have noticed that if there are a lot of replies, yours can tend to get lost in the mix. If the I think my reply is important, I might create a new discussion with subject stating that it's in reply to the other discussion so I know it will be read by the other users.

Most of the time I respond to topics that I can relate or topics I have something to say. In this way, I can make a more quality response. As much as I can I tried to respond to those who have no response or are from new discussion cause this can give me a chance to get a best response.

i would rather response to a discussion with no response moreso, if it was posted ahead of the one which have the same topic. i only respond to a topic with a lot of responses already if i find it worth my while.

I find myself responding to discussions which i would like to respond to.So i really don't look at how many repsonses someone has had.Sometimes i go to the discussions with no responses just to see if there's something which is interesting and which i would like to respond to.

I do this as well, going to discussions with zero responses to find a good discussion.

I usually don't respond to discussions that have a ton of responses for the simple fact, with that many responsesI am 99 percent sure someone else has already written the same thing that I would say and so since it would not be orginal why bother? But if it is something that I feel strongly about, I will answer no matter how many responses there are.

I usually response to the discussion that I can relate and have some personal experience about the topic and if it is similar I'm choosing the fewer responses or rather no response at all coz I want comments from what I response, cos sometimes if you response on hundres of them you can never recieve a comment from the one who started the discussion.

that is a good answer, and very true you can get all caught up in the mix when there are many responses and yours does not stand out

It doesn't depend on the response level. It all depends on if I have something to say or not

I would go with discussions where I have something reasonable to say than to ons where I'd be blabbering around... I have a question... Does MyLot reward you with bigger earnings with a long post or short post? with a top-response discussion or with less-response discussions?

thanks for your response, as far as your question I believe you make so much per 10 responses somebody correct if I am wrong but I think you need atleast 10 responses to earn something as far as responses go, you will still get paid for the discussion though.

I do look at the subject, if it is interesting i dont really care about how many responses it has. Usually when i find a good subject that interests me i will reply to several of them, differently ofcourse =)

As far as my friends discussions go, I answer via the email notification so I have no idea as I'm typing my response as to hopw many it's already recieved. As far as discussions in general. I just search the interests area and other areas and find one that interests me and I respond. I usually don't pay attention to the amount of responses already there. I just type away. I have no preference as to this. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Neither of them.I respond to discussions that have a good subject, something I'd be able to write more. I dont mind if it has responses flooding to it or even if it hasn't got much responses to it. I mostly browse through the top discussions where we can find some good discussions and also through the discussions my friends started.

I respond to whichever post i read first, i often don't notice there is a similar discussion until after i post. I often look at the new topics and discussions with no responses to see if there is anything interesting.

I don't care about the amount of responses. I'm not seeking discussions because they seem "popular". I ONLY respond 2 topics that MOVE ME! ALOT of discussions here, I'm not motivated 2 contribute. I enjoy topics that deal with basic human issues that mostly ALL of us can relate 2. I'm interested in something that's gonna make me THINK! I'm not just trying 2 "rack up" points, or dollars, just by answering any and EVERYTHING. So, whatever I'm DRAWN 2, I'll put my "2 cents" in!

I don't really look at how many responses there are... But if I'm made to choose, the same topic, one has a lot of responses and one doesn't, I'd probably reply to the one with the less number of (or no) responses. I'd like to help that member out earn some money. :) And I know it feels great when your topic gets a reply. I wouldn't want that member to feel sad. But I do reply to discussions with a lot of responses as long as they interest me.
