I'm talking about people who are in politics and people who have been influence by it. Yesterday was the election here in the Philipiines and today they are still waiting for the results. I know everybody is aware that every election there are many horrifying news. We are watching television this morning and there was an update about the election and the counting of votes and there was a horrifying news about 2 teachers burned dead inside the classroom where they were assigned to watch for the counting of votes. There are mens who arrived in the classroom who had a gun and one man point the gun on the teachers and the other pour gases on the ballot boxes and the whole room and burned it. Other pull watchers escaped and saved some ballot boxes but the two teachers didnt make it. The firefighter didnt able to saved the two and after the fire they were found dead embracing each other. Is it very horrifying, isnt it? Teachers who just doing there job are one risking their lives just for this kind of dirty politics. Dirty politics are very rampant nowadays. Its very sad indeed that we are belong on this generation that politician are getting greedy in positions and i cant really understand why are some people do such unhuman things just to win the politics and be in the position. Some politician cheat just to win, some kills other running politician and innocent people so that they will win. I know this kind of dirty politics is not only happening here in our country but its happening worldwide. SO mylottians whats your point of view about this?and Filipinos here, share your stories that you experience and hear yesterday. Have a nice day and Godbless.

Oh no that's very bad. Its very horifying and painful. I mean those who did it should have considered that those teachers are very important people and maybe married. Your own case is even better compared to that of my country (Nigeria). I believe you must heard about the election held in my country. More than 14 policemen where killed and other innocent people. A gubernatorial candidate was assasinated just of political greediness. So you can see that the situation is getting worse by the day isn't it? I will like to remember you that these are signs of the end time and as Jesus pricted "All these things will surely come to past (Mathew 24:1-end). So don't take it as a surprise and keep praying that the situation will die down. Thanks and have a nice day. God bless you too

these things are so sad.. i could not imagine how damaging a single election can be and they keep on saying that this one is more peaceful than the last.. maybe it's true but i do hope that all the violence would be stripped out of our elections.. it just disgusts me that people results to these just to win a country or a mere city.. imagine what they can do if they were to run the whole country..

yeah thats the very sad fact because we are just little people and no power but if all people will unite thats when we have the power but sadly to say some are influence and perhaps afraid to fight for what they believe so we might end up like this. Thanks for dropping by gabs8513. Godbless!

I also saw that news it's really disheartening. It's very unfortunate that victims of these violence are innocent people who are only trying to do their job. Probably politics here in the philippines is one of the dirtiest but it's probably because we are tolerating it. If we will just vote wisely and not just because we had received 500 bucks from a certain politician then perhaps we we'll have good leaders in the government.

I think that we take our political system for granted here in the USA. I am so sad about what is going on in your country. Good luck to the many brave persons who vote the way they believe, in the face of such persecution and hideous crimes.

it is the same old garbage everywhere.this kind of dirty, corrupt, inhumane things happen in politics and we are all partly responsible for this.we are the people who elect these guys into power and they are so corrupt that all they care about is increasing their bank balance and they ll do anything and everything in their power for it to remain that way.f the people all take a stand against this then there could be some change.but when the whole world is almost corrupt very little can be done and this will continue to follow.

haven't heard the news.. just got it from you.
and i really feel pity to the teachers since they had done nothing wrong. i really don't think the votes matter more than their lives since i believe no matter what we do, they (politicians) would still cheat, no matter what!!!

You can never be overreacting if you're fighting for a political post in the Philippines. And man, they do know how to take things to the next level. I pity the families of the victims since they are just doing their job. I just hope the present administration won't let their deaths be in vain.
It really is difficult to accertain who the culprit is. Some speculation persists that insurgents did this to make the elections more chaotic. Of course we're bound to put the blame on the candidates, but the speculation also has some basis. But in our country, you just don't know what to believe in anymore. It's so sad that our country is having these kind of incidents.

That is terrible news. I hadn't heard about that. I have to agree that we take the democratic process so much for granted here in the US. People vote and no one questions it. It's terrible that other places don't seem to have that freedom, and if they do, they don't feel safe persuing it! The situation with the teachers is horrible. I will pray for their families.

Politics tend to be very dirty especially here in the Philippines because of the greed for power that most people (I'm talking about the politicians) are wanting to own. Their accomplices are blinded by their bribes of huge amounts of money that they force theirselves to believing that what they are doing are for their families, etc. etc.
