Are the people on your friends list really your friend?

I have gotten a lot of random friends request since I have been on mylot, which is NEVER a problem for me! Keep the request rolling!!!
How many people on your list do you really keep up with?
I think for me, I like getting requests because it allows me to keep up better with discussions started by my "friends".

I keep up with a couple, because I invited them to this site. Some I have from my interests, and I like keeping them so that I can add to the discussions they start cos they have similar taste to mine. But I just deleted a few "friends" the other day because they just want friends to make it to x amount of friends on their list lol.

Sounds VERY similar to my experience with myspace and randoms saving me as a friend who I have NEVER had any contact with before. And then I look at their page and see they have over 500 friends...

Yeah, I hate all that spamming that random members leave in my inbox also. I only check my myspace once every blue moon. Some people on myspace are so extra...I just don't understand...lol.

none of the friends on my friend's list are my friends realy.they are just random ppl..I like making friends so its fine with me..

Same here...I love making new friends and my friends here are random people. If only making so many friends in real life was as easy...

I dont know how but everytime i put my time on postings then i seem to have new request for adding.That is great, i love it. maybe i have less time to keep in touch with someone we stick in the post, when it is impressive, then a friendship can be like as is.

Yes i agree with you. better than we request a lot of friends besause we can get source of discussion. i have much request other member to be my friends in my list that i hope i can share my opinion and get suggest with my discussion.
So very importent to get much friends by request from other member, doesn't it ?

Yeah, because sometimes I have nothing to talk about for the moment and therefore see what my friends have been posting out to discuss. The friends I have now have some pretty interesting discussions that provoke me to respond. The more friends, the more choices and variety of discussions presented. But I think it only works when your friends are ACTIVE posters.
