Reading silently or loudly,which you prefer?

I like reading loudly and everyday i will use an hour to read english loudly.
but if i read a long story,i prefer read silently which can help me to read fast.what do you do?

What you do is just the very common way people do with their reading. Reading a story book or a theory book, you need to read it silently in order to understand it better or to absorb more of the story. But reading English aloud is not exactly kind of reading, it's language learning; and learning a language needs to read aloud. I think no one would read a serious book aloud, but you can read a story aloud to other people.

but when you speak loudly,you also can recognize the sound of the article,which can improve your sense of a language,of course we should do that as we are alone.
