I was replying to a discussion today, then I glanced on the related discussions at the bottom of the page. I was surprised to see that one of those discussions was started by "myself" and I do not remember starting such discussion.
Actually, the avatar beside the discussion's title was similar to mine, but the discussion was started my another member. So, now I know that there is at least another member (msplash9) who is also using the same Keanu Reeves avatar as myself.
Have you ever stumbled on another Mylot member who is using the same avatar as yours? How did you feel about it?

My Avatar can't be copied, but if someone will do it, I would ask or that person to be removed from mylot for copied my photo...
I would never use any celebrities as my Avatar….if I run out of any ideas I wouldn’t like to use my face…I would use picture of my own hands…my cat, my dog….or anything that shows my personality….

If you place your own picture...mean your own face...and someone copy it and use it as his own Avatar...that's rude and you can report it.
If you place not your own face, but you are the photographer, you have copy rights for that picture...and still you can report it....
Hope I made it clear...you cannot claim picture of any celebrities as your own...:)

That is interesting. I did not know that avatars are copyrighted. Is copying an avatar would result in the copying member to be banned from Mylot? That is a good question.

I haven't yet. When I was using just one picture as my avatar, I suppose it was possible that someone else would have chosen that picture. However, since I combined these three into a gif animation myself, I would assume someone else using it would have stolen it from me directly.
Come to think of it, in all my time online I've never seen anyone using the same avatar as me on any forum. I guess I must just have strange taste or something.

Yes, I think it will be hard to find an avatar that looks exactly like yours since you made it yourself. I downloaded mine from the internet, so it is not surprising to find another member with the same avatar, after all.

*nods* The individual pictures from mine are downloaded from the net, I just put them together myself.
The characters is from an anime called Fruits Basket, and she isn't the main character, so I would assume interest in her isn't that common. Come to think of it, Fruits Basket isn't even one of the most popular anime I've seen. So I guess I'm pretty safe. =p

No, I've never come across anyone else using my avatar or even one similar. If I did, I'd know they copied my avatar because it's a photo I took myself. It's an original photo and one of a kind.

As a matter of fact, I saw the mylot alter ego of one of my mylot friends, and I admit that it was quite confusing.

That is kind to say that, thank you JulieSkyRock. Yourself, you seem to be very fond of flowers :)

I have the impression that I am the only one who met my alter ego here!
