Hi Gamers (Also to anyone else who is not a gamer),
My Banlist has just reached over 100 usernames. Actually quite sad come to think of it.
For those who are not so familiar with what a banlist is in dota it is simply a "blacklist" of usernames whom you or any other person would never ever like to play with again!
There are several reasons why a person can is added to the banlist. If during a game you played with this person and he/she left the game because he/she is a sore loser, usually leaving if he / she is the victim of "firstblood"! (a.k.a Leaver). Perhaps the person is a cheater (a.k.a Maphacker). How about if the person joins a game who is playing from a shop, joins the game knowing that he / she has only 20 - 30 mins left of game timewhen an average dota game is 1 hour.
The above are usual reasons why a person is added to a banlist. For more detailed "valid" guide on reasons why a person is banned I recommend that you visit:

Now we know why we have a banlist, lets talk about the advantages. Actaully I will only be discussing the advantages as I find it hard to find any disadvantages (if any) and it is quite interesting to know if there are any besides the obvious reason of abusive use of banlist.
First advantage, you don't have to put up with players who have no courtesy for others who just want to have a decent game. Playing *4 vs 3* or *5 vs 3* or *3 vs 2* and winning or losing is not fun or the same as an even matched game.
Second advantage, did you know that having a banlist will let you know the location of the players? This helps out alot because there will be almost no lag at all and we all hate lag right?
Basically those two are the main advantages of the banlist. I reckon any other benfits is just a result of the two advantages mentioned above unless someone can add to this or not even consider it an advantage...????
If you guys remember I stated above my banlist just reached 100 usernames and I really thought is was sad, well this just shows that there are still a lot of people who don't have "respect" to other gamers who just want to play a good game (gg). Hope all will be able to say that they did have a gg. Cheers! =)

The use of banlist: I think that is the best thing that can ever have happened in dotA history .... is nice to see all the pretty noobs :) the one that flame, steal, lag, plug ... etc. But ... there is a bad thing .... people ban you if you kill them to many times ... why? ??? i do now quite understand :). btw . on what channels do you stay? maybe we will play sometimes. Cheers! ;)
