Serenity Collector's Edition to be released. Will you buy it?

So it looks like a new 2 disc version of Serenity will be released soon. There seems to be some cool extra's including commentary by Joss and some of the cast (including Nathan Fillion who always cracks me up!), as well as some other new features.

I can say I like this cover art MUCH better than the first version. I'm a bit on the fence if I will be picking up the Collector's version though. While I want it, it's more money and as I am about to become a home owner, I don't have a lot to spare. This makes me feel like a bad Browncoat, but perhaps a friend will get it, and if I find the new extras are really great, I'll pick it up later.
What about you? Have you pre-ordered it? Will you rush out and get it, wait, or pass completely?

Possibly they are corresponding this with the hopes of drumming up interest once again...maybe they have a new script they are pitching for a sequel

I wish this were so. When Joss Whedon was still working on Wonder Woman he had said that there was little chance of another movie. Though he was sad to give up the Firefly universe, he wanted to concentrate on other projects instead. While there have been some rumors regarding another run of comics, I am trying very hard not to get my hopes up for another movie. I really think the next big Joss Whedon thing we are going to see will be "Goners," that other movie he's been working on. In the meantime, there are always the Buffy Season 8 comics. Those will just have to hold over us huge Joss Whedon fans for a bit.

Oh my. I'm so behind on buying DVDs that I want, and I've been saving up for the next season of the Muppet Show. But who am I kidding anyway? I think I am going to get it at some point. I love the movie so much that I don't think I'm strong enough to say no.
If you are unsure, perhaps you could just get the extras disc from netflix or something to see if it's worth it.

that's a great idea. Hopefully Netflix will get the collectors edition. I just know the commentary will be hilarious, and I hate to miss out on it. Thanks Kreb!

I will probably wait until I hear or read some reviews of the special features before I think about buying it. We are currently moving, and money is going to be tight for a while I think. DVDs are unfortunately the first thing to be cut from the budget. :(

I rushed out & bought it right away. Had a heck of a time finding it too!!
The extra commentary is fantastic. And the packaging...?! BEAUTIFUL!
Amazon recently had it on mega-sale, but it looks like that sale's over.
