Fresh Strawberries

Every summer, I pick several flats of fresh strawberries. Several years ago, I made some really good freezer jam that I, of course, cannot find the recipe I used. I only remember that it took very little time and was quite tasty (probably all that sugar). Anyone out there have a good freezer jam recipe they can share?

Oh please! You're making me miserable. I used to make strawberry jam, usually the old-fashioned way because enough to make me and my husband happy would have taken up the entire freezer. Also went hunting for wild blackberries--blackberry jam, grape jam--those were the good old days. Now I live alone in a tiny apartment with practically no kitchen. Ugh.

sorry. actually, I really don't like to cook; but, there are a few things I'll take the time to do. It's become a tradition around here to have one last package of frozen strawberries left for strawberry sundaes on New Years Eve. I'd share my kitchen with you if I could. I'd rather be outside working in the yard than working in the kitchen.

I don't have a recipe but my sister-in-law makes strawberry jam every year. Puts it in the freezer and it stays good all year. They pull the containors out as they need them. What she told me is she boils the strawberries in a pan and adds a little sugar to them and lets them come to a full boil. Then she just puts them in containors and into the freezer and keeps a couple out. They are really good to.

I know when I did this before it was very easy; but I couldn't remember what I did. The last time I tried I used the recipe I found on the pectin container and it turned out so runny, it was awful. I guess I'll just try this. I know when I boil down apples for applesauce (which I haven't made in quite awhile) I just add sugar to my taste and no other preservatives. Thanks
