how to turn leftover food into good use?

nowadays i think there is more and more food thats being wasted, i was wondering if anyone could come out with a better solution, so we can make this world a little less trashy and save our environment!

the left over food shall all be collected, dried and processed to become dog food, cat food, or animal feeds. these are healthy considering that these are meant to be food for people. those which had been spoiled and found unfit for animal consumption, can be processed as organic fertilizer. organic fertilizer is much more friendly than chemical based ones.

Okay, thanks for your comment, is really nice one. I hope our government will start this move. because what you have mentioned seems like a big-scale movement.
