Stand up if you hate your mortgage company.

My mortgage company did not listen to me when the loan was first established. It also does not listen to me when I have questions. The answers I get don't always match the questions I ask. Any who hates their mortgage company, this is your opportunity to stand and say so.

Can't you just change company then? :-) You don't have to stay with the same company forever...

I would love to find and change to a different mortgage company. One that listens and does as they are asked to do from the beginning would be great. I actually do have my eyes open for one. I can not just change companies whenever I want because they wrote in a thing about a penalty if we do that before a certain date. I have to try and be patient which is very hard to do. Then when the time is right, I will most certainly be changing companies.

hate, its too small a word for my feelings on this. (and I'm a realtor - so I work with them all the time! ewwww) my husband had a stroke - by the time we got the determination for disability we were facing foreclosure because the market had tanked, we couldn't sell the house - I was taking care of him, not working - we got down to the wire. we had the determination - we were due to get the direct deposit of the 'first biggie' - the mortgage company would have only had to give us 3 - count them - 1 - 2 - 3 - more days and we could have caught up the arrears and been current - they sold the house on the courthouse steps THREE DAYS prior to the check coming in. I was overjoyed when 48 mortgage companies went Belly Up between November 06 and February 07 - and they were one of them. we lost $20,000 in equity and our credit rating in one crashing blow. yeah, hate - its too small and timid a word for what I feel.

I hate to say this out loud for fear of jinxing it, but I have a pretty good company. Now my mother on the other hand has a real low life company. It's a Mom and Pop fly by night ran from a basement sort of outfit. Her mortgage was sold to them. They are real bottom feeders. Charge as high an interest they can, refuse to answer questions and hold taking their payments out of the bank for at least a couple of months at a time. The later can really screw up your books it you don't stay aware of this constantly. It's to the point we have our attorney contact them with our questions now. Her credit is so bad it wouldn't do her any good to refinance at this point. So she is pretty much stuck.

You are so lucky to have a good company. The mortgage company that we have came with great recommendations. They have failed to live up to those recommendations thus my disappointment with them.

most borrowers dislike the lender they are with..however if u don't like the lender that your mortgage is with or has been transferred what u are suppose to do is notify them in writing...according to legal mortgage disclosure..and if that does work the ftc and bbb....if u are dissatified with them and can't get resolution your option my be to refinance the loan to another company.

I'm sorry that you are having so much trouble with your mortgage company. I got a land contract through a local bank and didn't have any problem with mine. I hope you get things straightend out. Good luck.

We had no problems with a mortgage with HSBC. We had a mortgage once with Wells Fargo, and it was a nightmare from day one. It sounds almost as if you are currently dealing with Wells Fargo, we could say the same thing about when we had to deal with them.
