Brazilian Girls

When I was in Europe, a lot of guys asked me out right after they found out I was Brazilian, and they all said they loved Brazilian people and culture. And I experienced it in Spain, Portugal and specially in England.
It made me wonder what the rest of the world, specially Europeans, think of us. I was quite surprised with the reaction I saw, not only from men, but also from girls and kids.
So, where are you from, and what idea do you have about Brazil and specially about Brazilian girls?

No offence meant... but most people would not have a clue about what brazilian people are like... unless they have been in Brazil.
All we know about Brazil... is what we have seen in the movies... which is always the good side of Brazil. Everyone associate Brazil with the carnival in Rio de Janeiro.
Human nature dictate that if you don't know someone... your first reaction is to like them... until they give you a reason not to like them.
As Bazil does not make the news on the world map... we don't know anything about them and we automatically assume that every girl are like the girls in the movies.
I am sure that Brazilian people are no different than us. There is the good and the bad like everywhere else. People in Europe dream of exotic places like Brazil... so it automatically makes you popular.
I am from France... but I live in Australia. You could say that I made my dream come true by moving to my own exotic place. lol

Aussies, you should watch the movie "City of God" it definitely shows a more explicit view of Rio de Janeiro and is one of my favorite movies also.

Ha, don't worry, you didn't offend anyone. ;)
Actually that's exactly what I think. Brazilian people can be really annoying at times with all these "kissing and touching" ways of ours. People here in general are very impolite too.
And that's why I was so amazed with the reaction I got from European folks. Not all of them, of course, but most.

I love brazillian girls and I would love to go to Brazil, I'm just too afraid, I've read the the crime is very high in most places in Brazil. One of the places with the most cirmes and most murders...

Well, I'm glad that's what you think, eskarena. :)
It says UK in your profile... I don't know if you're from England, but if you are, you must know your country has a huge fan here in S.America! I've been only in London and Liverpool, but I'd love to go back someday to visit other places.

I worked at a theme park for years where we regularly had huge tour groups of Brazilians. I must say that they were often the friendliest people I'd see. Even when a show or ride broke down they'd never get mad. I also dated a Brazilian girl for a while. It didn't work out, but she was a very sweet person and her family was super friendly and even helped me to learn a little Portuguese. Most of the women I've seen from Brazil are also extremely attractive.

Did you work at one of the parks in Orlando? I see you're from Florida, but I don't know your city. And well, Disney is where you usually find huge groups of messy Brazilians. ;)
I was in Florida in 97, if you were working there at the time there's a change we've met before. Hahaha! I was quite young at the time, 12 years old.

I have met a few Brazilian people and they have always been very good people. I think Brazilian's in general are thought of as being very attractive and free-thinking and even more so when speaking of Brazillian girls specifically.
Brazilian's also appear to quite fun loving and affectionate, which does make them all the more attractice. You guys know how to party and have fun, and this is always a plus.

I guess a lot of it really depends on perspective. You would know the facts much better than I since you actually live there. I can see how they might be "too impolite," or "party too much" that could get old really fast. As someone else mentioned before me, people are people the world over. You have some good and some bad from all walks of life. That being said if a friend were going to setup a blind date or meeting with a "cute brazilian girl" I would probably show up. :)

Hhmm... That's just the idea I've seen in Europe and that I was talking about on my post.
Well, but my country is SO not like a tropical paradise. We might be very friendly, yes, but Brazilian people in general are too impolite, and it bothers me a lot. Let's say sometimes we "party" too much.
