What is your favorite kind of server?

What is your preferred type of server? PvP, RP, or normal and why? I haven't been able to get into a role play server, I think it'd be fun, I guess I just lack the certainty that I would role play correctly. I used to only play on a pvp server, but since the expansion have been playing on a newer normal server with friends. Thinking of going back to pvp instead of playing sheltered.
