Is a lot of make up a turn on or a turn off?

I think too much make up is definitely a turn off. I mean, women don't look natural when they go out with their face three different colors, and 20 layers of make up. It just looks awkward, not attractive. Not to mention, it's just a little creepy, seeing the darkest blue eyeshadow on a woman that's extremely pale and what not.

I am a woman and i would like to think that I am pretty without makeup. I actually feel like an idiot when i wear alot.
I do belive that natural is better and I also like the fact that my bf prefers me without makeup =)

A lot? Its a turn off... make up is there to enhance the beauty that is already there and not to make you look like a walking painting! Its too much when you tried to hange the way you look...when its off the road theme and color...like wearing heavy make up on bright day light.. as much as possible make your face simple( not over decorated) lolz!

I guess make up does make a girl pretty but its not the natural beauty, its artificial. The real face is hiding behind the colors of the make up. My Honey dont like make up, first and for most he dont like to kiss my cheeks with foundation powder all over. :P
And personally i only like plain baby powder and lip gloss (sunscreen protection), but not for the purpose of making myself beautiful.
TOO much make up would be...
1. Look at her when she dont have make up on.
2. Look at her when she has make up on
3. Compare the difference
If the beauty plainly comes from the make up. I think its too much. If it only enhances her natural beauty then its just right.

I think make up looks the best when it is done to look natural and sort of enhance what you have. When women pile the make up on it tends to look kind of clownish and very fake. It should be done lightly. Just enough to get coverage of the flaws but not too much to be caked on.

Women who wear too much makeup look much older than they are and look like they are trying to hide something. Too much makeup is a sign that the person is difficult and probably has some issues within herself that need to be dealt with.
I used to waer too much makeup to try and make myself look "beautiful" Looking back at those old photographs makes me want to kick my own butt. I looked older and ugly.

I am for simplicity, so I find a lot of makeup to be a real turn off. Some other people might think that a woman who puts on a lot of make up must not be very attractive, that is why she does so.

I think if it looks obvious that you're wearing foundation, ie it's cakey and/or orangey, then you'v got too much foundation on. It's supposed to look natural, so if you can tell a woman is wearing it, she's wearing too much. I always think women who have a darker colour of lip pencil round their lips filled in with a lighter lipstick are wearing too much lipstick. Also, you should only define either eyes or lips, if a woman has defined both, ie strong eyeshadow and bright coloured lipstick she is wearing too much! If she can hardly lift her lashes for mascara (well actually if the mascara is even looking a bit clumpy) she's wearing too much of that.

Too much is when you can tell she's wearing it. Or if her face is three shades lighter or darker. Or if her face feels heavy or strange when smiling.
