One Nation under God ?

In God we trust.... Separation from Church and State. Isn't that a contradiction? How can we ask for God's help, then say never mind?I really don't understand that? Does it mean in school kids pray they pass their test, but can not pray their school is safe? At baseball games fans pray for a home run, but can not pray for the City, Town or State they live in. Or at church we can ask forgiveness but can not talk about who should be running the country?
How can we believe that God's holding us in His hand and guiding us, then make our own rules and regulations? The God we believe in may be in a church with a big white steeple, or on the mountain top, or in our heart. He has different names, Lord, God, Master or Holy One. We don't have to go to the corner church or a downtown worship place. We don't have to get in a car and travel for miles to find God. He is all around. He is in our every move.
We feel we can make up our minds about life's problems. But in the tiny corners of our heart and soul, we know the right thing to do. I will tell you what happens to me, when God talks to me. My heart and soul begins to pound. I cannot think of anything else, until I do what I need to do. I may not want to do it, but my insides will not rest until I do. I might want to hide under the bed, instead of facing God's advice. I have tried to walk around the block, instead of making that phone call for forgivingness. I have sung at the top of my lungs not to hear my mind telling me to make something better. I have tried to read a magazine, instead of knowing I should be getting my life straight.
When I do the right thing, I am filled with so much peace and joy. My mind is clear, my heart is light and my soul is soaring. I fell like I am glowing, I feel like I can do anything. well, dear friends, this country has to be One Nation under God. We have to trust God. I know that God will talk to each and every one of us. Our hearts will pound, our hands will sweat. We will know the right thing to do. I pray that that everyone will listen to their heart and soul. Whatever you do I hope you decide to pray for God's will for our beloved country. God Bless us all. I know He does.

i believe that as we are slowly taking God out of our lives he is also slowly taking his hand of protection from us .this is way life today is getting harder but there is hope for he did say
2 Chronicles 7: 14. if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

So true- I can remember growing up- in school first thing we’d hear over the loud speaker was the morning announcements. Pledge of allegiance and then a prayer- Not anymore- I wonder if they brought God back into school- would we have all of this hate- bullying- school shootings? I would like to think not- I think that the kids that don’t want to pray have that right- they could quietly sit at their desk and not pray.
I believe in God- I don’t go to church as often as I probably should- But I still pray- I don’t need to be in a church to do that-
Another great story.
