Ringtones for your phone....do you have music or a regular tone?

When your out and about it's amazing how many different songs and tones you can hear coming from everyones cell phones. Everything from the latest hip hop song to a "ring, ring" can be heard no matter where you go. I think it's funny when everyone checks their phone to see if it's ringing like they don't remember what theirs sounds like.
I've always preferred the regular phone ringer sound on my cell phone. I've played with all of the music, sounds, voices and everything that's available and finally decided that to settle for the good old "ring, ring".
What have you tried and what have you finally settled on or are you the type to keep changing your ringtones?

I usually put a new ringtone on my phone every few months. Currently I have "Like A Boy" by Ciara. I love that song!

That is a nice song but half the time I can't figure out the tune on other people's phones.

ringtones can be expensive just to have a different song for everything. I can always think of better places to spend my money!

I like the music ringtones, I have a different one for each person on my call list. My boyfriend likes the ringtones and hates it when my phone goes off playing a song.

I used to have that on my "other" cell phone and it really got confusing. Everyone had a song that reminded me of them so I would know who it was but it got so that I just ended up getting confused.

I have a very cheap, basic Samsung cellphone. There isn't even a camera on it. The ring tones it comes with are pretty lame, but none as lame as that terrible T-Mobile signature ring. That one annoys the heck out of me. My ringtone is a very simple melody of some sort. I know that it is my phone when I hear it and it doesn't annoy the world around me.

I opted for a phone without a camera also. I didn't see the need since I have a great digital camera. I'm trying to get back to the basic use of my cell phone so I may as well go all the way. T mobile does have a horrible signature ring doesn't it!

I have a song on mine, I got it for my daughter, it is "Girl Next Door" by Saving Jane....she always starts singing along when my phone rings, she is 6 =) I like songs, sometimes when I hear someone's phone ringing I will laugh because there are some crazy things out there!! The plane ring, ring really makes me laugh though, just because it sounds so normal!

Isn't it funny how something normal will make us laugh? Your daughter must be adorable when she hears your phone ring!

I'm not even sure what song my one plays when it rings. I hardly hear it anyways as its always in my bag and i have the volume down low. I only use it for emergencies or when I really need it. I just picked one that was already on the phone.

I've done the same thing. When I got my phone I just left it the way it was. Works for me!

Well, as I am not one to know how to, nor want to pay the extra $$ involved, I have chosen to keep the ones that actually came with my Cellphone. I have a Motorola razor. I actually like the Hello Moto one, even though some others seem to think it is a little strange.

I used to have just the standard ring ring, but then got my daughter's hand me down that allows me to assign a different song to everyone in my phone book. Problem is, I can't remember which song is for which person and with a bunch of different ring tones, I'm never even sure if it's my phone ringing!

Hi,ctrymuziklvr!
I just keep my cellphone on silent so that the ringtones won't bother others.
Once I was interested in download different ringtones from some websites but later on I was bored of it.And most of the ringtones were as not good as I imagined.
Though I have found some wonderful and distinct ringtones,I won't use them because it's easy to encounter someone who use the same ringtone just like yours.
