A friend on here said something about his 'icon' transformation and I was getting tired of looking at my "Winner of the NaNoWriMo" pix so I went through my files to see what else was on the disk. The new icon is from two of my favorite 'interests' Belly Dance and Costuming. I've been a Belly Dancer for 9 years now (yes, a Plus Sized Belly Dancer - this pix was from about 75 pounds ago - I started dancing to loose weight - its working!) This icon also carries yet another of my interests into the mix - I danced my first solo in this costume to Queen's "Fat Bottom Girls" - and seriously Rocked The House! First Standing Ovation I've ever gotten - but - not the last! Wooo Hoooooo! Okay - this is a Challenge - I managed to work 3 interests into this discussion without stretching too hard. Lets see who else can will attempt the multiple challenge! Put at least 3 of your interests into a discussion in such a way that they are 'reasonably linked' - no just 'random picks'. Let me know you are doing one when you response so I can go check it out!

AP, This was a most delightful post! Thank you and Congratulations on the weight loss. I am totally impressed and in awe of you. Do you take classes? If you do, how difficult was it for you being a woman of size (get over it - I'm a bit weighty myself who am I kidding, it doesn't matter how pretty the words are - fat is fat is fat and is going to be fat in the morning when I wake up unless I do something to change it!) to go into a class such as this? It's one that I have always wanted to do, but age (59), height and weight (5'1", 163#) have kept me from doing - not to mention the price. I am so proud of you that it makes me happy just to know that you did it, Woman! I am thinking about ordering the Dancing With The Stars DVD. I only gained the weight over the winter (all 35 pounds of it). It's a real bust because before this gain I had lost 50# and kept it off for over 2 years. What a shame what pain can do to a body! Regardless, this is your discussion to SHINE in and you do! ~Donna

My teacher and troupe leader is a 6 foot tall, 200 pound black woman named Bambi! I had No Problem with the class. I started out after leg surgery sitting in a chair doing the torso isolations until I could stand up. I had managed to get from 450 pounds down to 350 pounds when I started the class. the picture was a 335. there are so many health spas and gyms now offering it that its amazing to me. if you want to try it at home first get the tapes done by Meena and Veena - twins and they focus on the exercise potential first. Avoid the tape by done by Eddie Rabbit's wife - she is just Way Wrong and people have gotten hurt attempting to do what she 'describes'
