Do you like to watch a thunderstorm?

I am just sitting here surfing the net and am looking outside my window at a wicked thunderstorm. The wind is whipping through my open window and the sound of the rain pelting down almost hypnotizes me. The lightening is illuminating the whole sky and the sound of the thunder is deafening. However, I love it. Watching a good thunderstorm always makes me feel alive. I love the smell, sound and light show it brings with it. What about you? Do you like a good thunderstorm? Or do you take cover in the basement? cheers,

I love to watch and hear a good thunderstorm, but I do hate power outages that result from the storms. I think I like the storms so much because my dad used to tell us it was god bowling and the louder the thunder, the better he was doing. I still smile when I think about that image. I also like to count between thunder and see if it is getting closer or further away. Great Topic !

You make a good point about the power outage. I was on the treadmill last month and the power went out and my treadmill totally stopped and I just kept right on going...... cheers

I love a good thunderstorm. My kids are frightened of them and want to go to the basement, but not me! I'll stand on our covered porch and watch the wind whipping and the clouds rolling across the sky. I am like you, they make me feel excited and alive. They give me such a burst of energy.

It`s exciting feeling indeed...when it`s not a problem for my Internet connection. Sometimes the thunderstorm and the wind cause problems.

I love thunderstorms. My partner thinks I'm weird because I get all giggly over them. I can't help it, thunderstorms just make me happy. I love the feel before the storm and I don't mind getting caught out in one as long as I have cover close by. I don't like playing chicken with lightening personally.

I am also facinated by thunder and lightening. I like to count the time between thunder claps to see how close it's getting. Hail Thor! This summer I saw my first tornado off in the distance and watched it break up. Very exciting.
