Total abstinence is the only 100% safe one. The pill is probably the next most effective, provided it is taken as prescribed.

All of them have a chance of not working and none of them offer protection against sexually transmitted diseases....
I think that the Depo shot probably is the most convenenient....you only have to have a shot a few times a year....no pills to swallow or remember every day...
