i think they are very different programs.
i use paypal for ebay, or other serious transaction (buy/donate)and use e-gold for hyip, bets online, and other stuff like that.
it depends of what are you going to do with de online money you got!!

I also like to use Paypal, it just feels safer for me. It's already pulled me out of trouble with a few people who haven't delivered goods I've paid for, etc. Paypal sorts it all out well. I have an e-gold account but so far have never felt the need or want to use it.

So far I just used E-gold as my favourite processor for geting payment from other online programs. ANother one is Alertpay but its not convenient for me to get fund from. If I withdraw out thru check then It take quite a bit long time to get cash, well...

Very nice to hear that e-gold really works for you while everyone make allegations of moneylaundering against e-gold.I'm from India and I don't have a credit card or bank account so I can't get my paypal account verified.I've heard that e-gold is for those who don't have a credit card,so I've given my egold account to other earning programmes. It will be very kind of you if you explain how e-gold works for you.How long you keep money in your e-gold account.Do you withdraw the money as soon as your egold account get credited. Can I use western union money transfer to get my cash from egold. If so how.Through western union can I get my money at my door step. Please explain I'll be highly obliged

Yes,i told you the truth. in my country, there are some restrictions for using online processors, so finally i already chose egold as my major expenses online coz no choice.it actually worked for me.for some reasons, i have my downlines who need egold, i have some friends who exchange egold and some agencies for this kind of service. i never use Western Union for cashing out my egold.the fast and reliable way is exchange with those you trust or haft trust :-).
I already verified my paypal acc but somehow i haven't used it. and the rates of currency of every e-currency also affect to my choice.excepts for these days when egold got some problems, but before that i exchanged good rate.
I never keep my money in my egold account for so long. as long as i received money, i try to cash out as quickly as possible. Recently I received nearly 500$ from Loftyprofits, i also cashed out all of my money there.lol, now im happy that get egold into cash.

Paypal any time... though egold is ok as well. But Paypal wins hands down in terms of better customer service, more accessibility (just look at the list of countries it is available at) and reliable transactions. Egold is rising fast but for now... Paypal is here to stay.

I have used Paypal for many years now and i have never had any problems with it. It deals with real money where as, i believe, egold uses gold as a currency and gives you so much gold depending on how much money you have or something along those lines. I prefer to deal with simple real money so i prefer paypal. Also, the customer service at paypal is first class and egold are currently going through a few legal issues.

I prefer Paypal, it just feels so much safer. It's already gotten me out of trouble before, if you have someone who hasn't delivered goods, or you're still waiting on payment etc. Paypal is really quick to sort it all out with you. I have an e-gold account but so far haven't had the need or want to use it.
