NO Gas Day...Did you participate?

There has been an email going around about not buying gas on the 15 of May. Did any of you participate in it? Why or why not? Do you think it really affects the oil companies?
I didn't get any gas today, but it wasn't because of the email, I just didn't happen to need any today.

Well I didn't need any gas today so that's the only reason I didn't get gas not because of the emails. Having a gas out day isn't going to affect the oil companies. They know that these people are going to run out of gas eventually so this will never work. These emails have been going around for years and it has yet to work. And it is yet another email that has been debunked by snopes.com http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/nogas.asp .

I didn't get gas today. I heard about the whole thing, but I didn't get gas because I didn't need it. I don't think that the oil companies care. We're all so dependent on gas that one day won't make a difference.
