Why do dogs eat disgusting food?

they do not have that many taste buds i read some place so i guess they do not tast it much

most of your sense of taste is connected to your sense of smell. so they probably have more acute sense of taste than a human

I guess they taste it probably, coz my dog had been so choosy with regards to his diet...huhuh

because some dog owners give their dogs disgusting food. if it's not fit for human consumption, my dogs don't get fed it. in fact I worry more about harmful chemicals in their food than I do in my own.

I guess they don't think it's disgusting. While that hunk of moldy cheese on your counter just looks like a source of penicillin to you, it's gourmet food to a dog's palate. :)

Perhaps they are not disgusting, but, they have powerful sense of smelling that could withstand disgusting stuff...
