the sketch effect in pictures

i got this shot when i was in my previous company. i had nothing to do then so i grabbed my nokia 6600 cell phone and took this shot (it was my own hand). then i made editions with it through adobe photoshop, and voila! i have a photograph which actually looks more like a sketch, ain't it?

The picture is so nice the editing part of the picture is great and looks so soft like it is a art of pencile and i think u r working as a designer in any company and let me clear abut these and the picture clarity is also so nice.

Not sure about the sketch part. But it sure is a neat looking photograph. Thanks for sharing! You could always try to practice a sketch from that photo :).

Nope, I think it still looks like a 'fuzzy' photograph but good job at enhancing the realism in it . . . definitely your hand !

Cool, I like the editing that you did. Its really easy to tell its a camera photo though, it sucks that you cant get very good quality with them :(
You asked in one of my photos what camera I used but I cant reply to it so Ill tell you here Im using a canon DSLR camera, 30d.

you're right. it just frustrates me every time there's something i want to capture yet i don't have a good camera with me and all i have is my cellphone. my cellphone model just can't give justice to the actual beauty of the subject.
i am thinking of buying a sony cybershot digicam. but maybe i'll also check out canon models. thanks kara for responding. :)
