Next year (2008) microsoft will no longer support windows XP which is very accustomed to us all. Soon Vista will replace the existing XP which is a little too early for most users including myself. Although Vista has been released some months ago, i wonder how the respond is like especially to those who are very comfortable with XP. Has anyone of you mylotters purchased or tried using Vista already? How is the performance and the friendliness of this new operating system?

They (Microsoft) should keep it an option for a few years and at least conduct a survey of how users accept this new operating system. Ceasing to support XP I think is not a very wise decision especially for a big company like Microsoft. Thank you Bestgirl!

it's true. and what makes it harder for us users is that they(Microsoft)said that they will stop supporting windows XP after 2008. it's all because of business.
Proverb say, "Even though you're on the right track,if you don't move ahead, you'll be run over" something like that. Cruel world.

I haven't installed Vista, as I think Windows XP is already very good. Besides, Vista needs higher hardware to support it. That means to say probably I have to buy a new computer. Also I heard others say it's not good to use Vista. Many software doesn't support this new operating system yet.

i think it is unfair to replace the existing operating system so soon. there are a still lot for new users to discover. i just don't get it.
